Every paying adult can bring up to three children in for nothing, and it’s tied to a pretty sweet reason – the zoo’s giant pandas are having a birthday month.

Adelaide Zoo is giving free entry to children aged 4 to 14 for the whole of August 2026, as long as they’re with a paying adult.
It’s a birthday celebration for the zoo’s two giant pandas, Yi Lan and Xing Qiu, who arrived at the Bamboo Forest in December 2024 and have become the main drawcard for family visits since.

Even though the child tickets are free, you still need to grab them online alongside the adult ticket booking, since the zoo caps daily numbers.
